We Did Something Extraordinary Together

In just five months, we grew from an idea into a movement of more than 1,200 active supporters.

Together, we turned Fairfax from a safe seat into a truly competitive one, and more than 13,000 locals gave me their first preference vote. That’s over 12% of voters backing a fresh, independent voice that stands for truth, fairness, and community.

We didn’t win the seat this time, but we built something powerful:
a movement that will last.

Along the way, I made new friendships and connected with so many people who share my values people who believe in a better future for this region. I met locals who, like me, are tired of being overlooked, who want honesty in politics, practical solutions, and a voice that truly represents them.

And we made a difference. Our presence motivated the incumbent to get out and speak directly to the community, something that hadn’t been happening in years. That’s the power of people coming together.

To Our Volunteers

You were the energy behind every conversation, event, and early morning sign wave. This campaign was powered by your dedication and belief in a better way. Your smiles, warmth and friendliness made our team stand out from the crowd. I am so grateful to each and every one of you.

To Our Donors

Your generosity paid for flyers, corflutes, venue hire, digital ads and helped us reach thousands across the electorate. Every single dollar made a difference.

There was misinformation during the campaign about where our donations came from. Let me be clear: the vast majority of our funding came from everyday people right here on the Sunshine Coast locals who chipped in because they wanted a better kind of politics.

We also had support from people across the country, people who didn’t want to see our landscape sacrificed to a nuclear fantasy, or progress in the renewable sector held back. Our campaign was funded by individuals, not corporations. And every donation was declared in line with electoral laws.

I am incredibly proud of the integrity and transparency of our fundraising. This was a campaign powered by people, not party machines.

To Our Supporters

Whether you handed out flyers, hosted a kitchen table conversation, came to an event, or simply shared a post thank you. You helped grow this movement and kept me going, every single day.

What’s Next

For now, I’m taking a well-earned breath.

I’ll share more about next steps once we’ve all come up for air. But please know this:

This is just the beginning.
Whether it’s me or another independent in the future, the appetite for change is real and we have shown it can be done.

Thank you, Fairfax for believing in me, for backing this campaign, and for proving that politics can be powered by people.
