Early voting has begun across Fairfax, and independent candidate Francine Wiig is reminding voters: your preferences belong to you, not political parties.
“As an independent, I don't do preference deals,” Francine said. “I trust you to decide who deserves your vote, in the order that matches your values.”
Francine’s how-to-vote card keeps it simple: Vote 1 for Francine Wiig, then number the other candidates in the order you choose. No tricks. No hidden deals. No party pressure. Just real, independent representation, the way democracy should be.
This makes handing out how-to-vote cards at early voting centres even more important.
"Early voting booths are where we reach thousands of people who want real change, but many don't realise how powerful their preferences are. Every conversation matters."
Francine is calling on locals who believe in fairness, climate action, integrity, and strong community representation to put their hand up and help. Whether it's a few hours at a booth or bringing a friend along on Election Day, volunteers will play a vital role in giving Fairfax a real choice.
“If you want politics to be different, it starts with us. Stand up. Volunteer. And show that change is possible.”
The how-to-vote card simply recommends Vote 1 for Francine Wiig, and then reminds voters to number every box for their vote to count. No deals, no secret swaps — just your voice, your choice.
"Together, we can create real change here in Fairfax. But it starts with showing up and standing up."
